The Kedarnath temple sits at over 3,500 metres and is only accessible for roughly six months of the year — typically late April or early May through the first heavy snowfall in November.
May and June are the most popular months, with clear mountain air before the monsoon arrives. July and August bring heavy rain and a higher risk of landslides.
September through mid-November is our favorite window — the crowds thin out, the weather is crisp, and trek conditions are stable.
